Voivodship - Kashubian name: Starogarda; German name: Preußisch Stargard.
Gmina Starogard Gdański is a rural gmina (commune) in Starogard County,
Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. Its seat is the town of Starogard
Gdański, although the town is not part of the territory of the commune.
Area: 196.16 sq.km (75.7 sq.mi); Population: 13,676 (2006); land under
cultivation - 61%; forests - 28%.
Arms and flag adopted on January 16, 2003 (resolution # V/29/2003).
"Arms: on the green (pale green) shield a stylized wheat stalk of golden
color with the Arms of Starogard Gdański city on it.
Flag: an image of the Arms placed in the middle of the pale green field."
(by "pale green" I mean a bluish-green green)
