Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 8.585; area: 13,66 km². Settlements:
Dinxperlo (seat), De Heurne.
Dinxperlo is in southeast Gelderland and its main village has a twin
in Germany (Suderwick); it used to be a delight for enclavophiles. The
flag is obviously derived from the Coat of Arms, which refers to the possible origin
of the name (Dinxperlo > Dingserlo): a 'ding' was the place where
justice was administered, lo: wood, forest.
Flag adopted 17 Aug 1938.
