The "Agencia Federal de Aviación Civil, AFAC" (Federal Civil Aviation Agency) is a government organization dependent on the
Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation in charge of aviation regulation in the country.
It was established by Decree published on October 16, 2019 (source: ts.sct.gob.mx) and enacted the next
day. Its has had different denominations over the years as follows:

Aviation in 1923

Section; from 1923 to 1928

Aeronautics; from 1928 to July 1, 1930
-Air Communications

Aeronautics; from 1952 to 1956

of Civil Aviation; from 1956 to 2019
-Federal Civil Aviation
