Coat of Arms

The current coat of arms of San Javier is a recent creation, being adopted at the start of the Administration of 2024 (in September). It was designed by María Andrea Encinas Ochoa, described as a young entrepreneur from the town working in graphic design. The designer submitted multiple proposals, and voting was held to choose one design. The coat of arms depicts local landmarks, including: the San Javier church, a bridge, and the mountains which surround the town. A crossed pick and shovel are representative of mining, a primary industry here. The lower two quadrants depict deer and cattle, representative of the nature and cattle-ranching industry here.

The old coat of arms depicts the same elements as the current one, with the inclusion of a mining cart for ore. The elements are divided into quadrants.
