The coat of arms of Bacadéhuachi was designed by Manuel García Madrid, probably in the 80's at the petition of the council.
The upper section depicts a church dome, with a missionary's initials above it. Below is a scroll with the name of the historical mission, San Luis Gonzaga de
Bacadehuatzi. Just below are the dates 1645 and 1930, the years of foundation and municipalization. The upper-left quadrant depicts the fruits of the land, watermelon,
corn, and peaches, remembering the agriculture of the land. In the upper center is an image of the church of Our Lady of Loreto. To the right of it is a flaming torch,
a branch with berries, and a harp with the year 1919 inscribed upon it, probably for the year of the violent battle between Gral. Limón and the Yaqui Indians.
The lower half is in the national colors. To the left is a horse, in the center is an eagle eating a serpent (remembering the nation), and to the right is a head of
cattle; the first and last are symbols of the local economy, ranching. Dividing both halves horizontally in the center is text that reads "P. CRISTOBAL GARCIA,
S.J. FUNDADOR" [Father Cristóbal García, Society of Jesus; Founder[.Flanking the coat of arms on both sides are ears of wheat. Below the shield is a
ribbon with the municipal name.
