The council informed me there is no municipal flag.

I was informed by the council that they could not find any information about their coat of arms. The shield's inner section and border are yellow. At the top of the border is the name, EL ROSARIO. In the lower part is the year 1655, when it was founded. In the inner section, the cross which hangs by some beads and the pieces of cast metal represent the legend it narrates; that thanks to the breaking of his rosary, a cowboy discovered the mine of silver which gave the origin of the name to Our Lady of the Rosary in 1655. The flame, the broken shackle, the drop of blood, the flag, and the color yellow remember the first battle for the Independence which was held in the state and the only successful one.
