Cho Yang Shipping Co. Ltd. was a South Korean company formed in 1961
according to Lloyds . In 2001 it was put into liquidation.

The house flag of Dongnama Shipping Co., Ltd is shown on a container: yellow, a blue initial ‘D’ (serifed) in the centre.

Founded 1967 as Dong-sue Shipping Co., Ltd: a local tramper company widening out to container shipping (1974) and global tramping in the ‘seventies. Name change to Dongnama in 1984. 1989, joint venture with Sinotrans (China) named Sinkor Co., Ltd, a container service followed by Wei-dong Ferry Co., another joint venture. Further expansion in the region but tramper service continued as well (Middle East). 1998, cooperation with other S. Korean firms Han Jin Shipping and Heung-A Shipping; in the same period, furher expansion of container transportation, and subsidiaries established. Joined Seven Mountain Group in 2005 (now named C& Group).

[Dongnama] began its first container service in 1974 to Japan and other Southeast Asian countries and now operates pan-Asian service networks covering Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and India. Recently, [Dongnama] started services for Russia.
In 1979, [Dongnama] was the first domestic shipping company to have container services to Malaysia and Indonesia (…,…) currently operates a fleet of some 80 ships covering 32 routes throughout Asia and will soon broaden its service to include all regions of the globe.

Blue logo on white. The logo is a thick ring with an "H" inside, linked to the
ring by semi-circular shapes. Gives a distinctive yin-yang flavour.

It is a white flag with a light blue company logo shifted slightly to the top
and underlined by an inscription in capitals "HANJIN SHIPPING" of the same
colour.

Hyundai uses the same flag worldwide. The flag and the logo changed on 1 March 2006. (information by member of staff).
Description of flag: blue over orange over red horizontal tricolour with white fimbriations between the stripes.

Description of logo: The logo shows two equilateral triangles, a yellow one partially superimposed by a green one.
The yellow area is wider in the redesigned version- the green area and the yellow of the triangle symbol is in a ratio of 8.5 to 1- a more stable form.

Quite dubious, this flag can be described as a horizontal bicolour of dark red
and blue with three white horizontal stripes dividing it into four equilateral fields.

The shipping company 'Pan Ocean Bulk Carriers Ltd.' (POBC) was founded in Seoul in 1966. The POBC initially operated oil tankers and diversified into dry bulk tramping in 1972. A liner service was opened in 1977 to export Korean plywood and steel to the USA and Canada.
In 1984, the company was renamed 'Pan Ocean Shipping Co. Ltd.' (POSC), and merged with the 'Global Shipping Company', the 'Samick Lines' and the 'Bowwon Shipping Company'. The company charters taday c. 200 ships, fully owing 62 of them. It has 1,687 employees (shore, 454; crew, 1233).
The flag of the POSC is horizontally divided blue-white-blue with the red letters PAN in the white stripe.
