The eldest son of Sanesue Akita, a feudal lord in the Dewa province. He went to battle on the Tokugawa side in the Osaka Campaign of 1614.
The war banner has reddish purple background with two meandering lines vertically in black. The meandering line was called “Yamamichi”
meaning a mountain road in Japan.

Lord of Matsuoka Domain in Hitachi Province. He belonged to the Tokugawa side in the Battle of Sekigahara and became the lord of a 60,000-goku domain in Dewa Province. The war banner was a striped banner with seven white and six black horizontal stripes. The general’s standard has white background with a red circle in near square shape.

Lord of Minato Castle in Dewa Province; He succeeded to the governorship in 1587 and was given 50,000 goku by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and played an active role in the Korean invasion. The war banner has white background with two black Yamamichi meandering lines topped with a white Maneki small streaming flag.
