The Flag

The flag of the city of Gotsu is white with mark.

The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 2004 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue, a red, a green three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized G of Gotsu. The wings symbolize an image of the city which makes a leap forward as a major urban city in central Iwami Region = west part of Shimane prefecture. The circle represents an image of the city which greatly develops with full of ambition by a conformity and a solidarity of Gotsu city and Sakurae town.
