The city emblem was adopted on May 29th 2006 by Notice No 211 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a blue, a pink and a green three color city emblem
in the center. The two blue Alpine mountains stand for a progress and a
prosperity of the city, the pink cherry flower petal for the culture and the
history, the two white curved lines for Mitsumine River and Tenryu River and the
green part for a fertile ground.
