White coat-of-arms on dull blue field.
Stylized Kanji character SHIN 新 in a diamond shape which has been long believed
a symbol of steadiness. The coat-of-arms represents Shinjuku's will to steadily
develop for the future.
Coat of arms adopted 15 March 1967.
Flag unlegislated.
Nozomi Kariyasu, 24 March 1999
For Shinjuku ward I found only purple flag.

Shinjyuku ward says there is no flag law yet but they use no more blue flag
but only purple.
Nozomi Kariyasu, 26 June 2014
But they have done so in the past?
Peter Hans van den Muijzenberg, 26 June 2014
Yes, they used a dull blue. I got their letter dated Jan 13th 1999 in which
they wrote the color name.
