The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized AB.
The emblem depicts River Abira and the gentle hills.
It represents the developing town enveloped with a breeze and fresh nature.

the flag was adopted on Mar 26th 1968 by Ordinance No 3.
The light green flag has a red and a white town emblem surrounded by yellow
rice stalks.
The town emblem is a stylized katakana アツマ Atsuma.
The white color stands for the future and the town people’s concord,
the red for a frontier spirit, the green for the forest, the plain, the sea and the yellow
for rice stalk.
The flag proportion is 2: 3.
The diameter of the emblem is 3/5 height of the flag.

on May 25th 1977.
The cherry blossom symbolizes samurai settlers spirit and the
streams do lots of fresh rivers in the city.
The circle represents peace.

The town emblem was adopted on Mar 27th 2006 by Ordinance No 2 but there is no flag law.
The white flag has a green, a red , a blue three color town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized katakana ム Mu of Mukawa.
The green color stands for rich forest and products, the blue and white lines for
fresh stream, the sea and a blue sky, the center red circle for the resident’s health
and vigor, the wide curved line for the strength and nature.

The city emblem is six (Mu)stylized katakana ロ Ro surrounding
an orchid in the center.

The green flag has a yellow city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized hiragana の No of Noboribetsu.
The long thin triangle symbolizes the city’s unlimited surge and
the inner circle space does the industry and the tourism as two major
trade. It represents the growing city’s future.

and the flag was adopted on Sep 1st 1984 by Regulations No 12.
The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized kanji 白 Shira and katakana オイ Oi.
The circle symbolizes the town people’s solidarity, the hexagon does the growing
agriculture forestry, fishery, industry, commerce,tourism and other business.
The upper umbonal part represents the town’s eternal prosperity.
