Overview

STF (Süd-Tiroler Freiheit = South Tyrolean Freedom)

The STF is a separatist party of the German-speaking people in South Tyrol, founded in 2007 as a split from the UfS (Union für Südtirol). The party wants the reunification of South Tyrol with the Austrian part of Tyrol. It holds 2 seats in the provincial parliament (Landtag).

The symbol is a circular arrangement of the Austrian national flag, together with the party name and URL. The flag is the Austrian national flag (red-white-red) with the party symbol in the lower fly, and the main slogan spread over the three stripes: "Süd-Tirol ist nicht Italien!" (South Tyrol is not Italy!) [1,2,3,4]. A controversial billboard campaign in 2007/2008 showed exactly this design, for instance on the (Austrian side of the) Brenner border.
