The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) was founded in 1998 as
a non-profit organisation as an independent research and training institution
focusing on the wider Black Sea region. It is a related body of the Organisation
of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and committed to promoting
multilateral cooperation between the countries of the Black Sea region and with
their international partners. The ICBSS is headquartered in Athens, Greece.

Its flag is white with its oval logo, consists of BSEC emblem surrounded by
two wide arc with English and Greek acronym of the organization. Full names are
placed inside the oval in both languages.
