Bošnjaci is located 50 km south-west of Vukovar, just outside Župinja. It has 4,600 inhabitants, all living in the single (large) village of the same name.
In spite of the place name being the same as the name nowadays used by Bosniaks as the etnic name, it has nothing to to with Bosnian Muslims; it probably indicates that the original inhabitants once crossed river Sava from Bosnia, indeed, but that does no mean that they were Muslims/Bosniaks, most probably they were Croats, as they are today as well.

The symbols of Bošnjaci were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, green with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Vert a bread or in a wooden mould proper".
