The symbols of Sveta Nedelja are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Sveta Nedelja and Statutory Decision Statutarna odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Sveta Nedelja te načinu i zaštiti njihove uporabe, both adopted on 26 September 2011 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 27 September 2011 in the Municipality official gazette Službene novine Općine Sveta Nedelja, No. 5.
Three public contests were organized to design the symbols, prescribed by Decisions Odluka o objavi javnog natjecaja za izradu grba i zastave Općine Sveta Nedelja, adopted on 25 April 2003 by the Municipality Assembly and published the same day in Službene novine Općine Sveta Nedelja, No. 1, Odluka o objavi javnog natjecaja za izradu grba i zastave Općine Sveta Nedelja, adopted on 16 July 2007 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 27 November 2007 in Službene novine Općine Sveta Nedelja, No. 11, and Odluka o objavi javnog natjecaja za izradu grba i zastave Općine Sveta Nedelja, adopted on 25 July 2011 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 26 July 2011 in Službene novine Općine Sveta Nedelja, No. 4.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, green with the coat of arms in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Azure the chief vert fimbriated argent and overall a pallet in dexter", or "Quartered by a thin cross argent offset to top dexter, the top quarters vert the bottom quarters azure".
The green and blue fields are said to represent "Istria, where
Mediterranean and continental climate are intermingling". The cross is
said to stand for "the symbol of numerous churches and chapels and of
the crossing of certain geo-climatic conditions, the natural
characteristics of the municipality, uniting the rural and cultural
historical characters of the region".
