The Municipality of Bale (Italian, Valle) is located some 30 km north-west of Pula. It has 1,047 inhabitants according to the 2001 census, 886 of them living in the village of Bale proper.

The flag of Bale (photo, photo) is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms in the middle.
Older photos (2006) show the flag with a lighter blue field.

The coat of arms is "Gules a cross patty argent". The shield is oval within a golden border, topped with a golden crown and surrounded with a wreath of laurel branches.

The ceremonial flag is atypical for Croatia, of the same design as the flag but with a red border added around.
There is also a number of different gonfalons, basically all being blue,
ending triangularly with a golden fringe, with the coat of arms in the middle and golden inscriptions above and below. The inscriptions differ: for instance, a gonfanon (photo) seems to include only Italian inscription below "Valle d'Istria", while another one (photo), used during the same event includes much longer inscriptions above and below.
These gonfalons may belong to some cultural societies from Bale.
Yet different banners (photo, photo) of the same basic design are displayed in the village's street.

Previously, the municipality used a lighter blue flag, while today it uses a slightly darker shade (but not too dark).
