The shield is quartered into blue (1st and 4th field) and silver (= white) (2nd and 3rd field). The whole is superimposed by golden (= yellow) shelves with horseheads at their ends.
Meaning:
The colours blue and gold are taken from the arms of Harburg County and are symbolizing the close connections with the county. The shelves, which can be found on top the farmhouses' gables, are symbolizing the rural environment. The quarters allude to the fact that Kakenstorf belonged to the so called "four villages" (/Vierd?rfer/) together with Drestedt, Trelde and Spr?tze, which formed a municipality until 1900, when Kakenstorf became independent.

The other tools, both short hilted, are used for cultivating and cleansing the heather, together with the white colur they are canting, because they are creating a white place (German: weiße Stelle/Stätte, local Lower German: Wistedt). The red colour is alluding to the former clay pits, flanked by Wümme and Oste.
