Shield Argent, issuant from a crescent recumbent Or St. Mary with fair hair, robe Azure and veil Gules, crowned and nimbed Or, holding a sceptre Or in her right hand and in her left arm baby Jesus Christ, dressed Gules and nimbed Or, holding an orb Or in his left hand and giving blessings by his right hand.
Meaning:
The (probably) oldest seal from 1811 already displayed St. Mary with a circumscription "MARIA SCHONACH". Since the 19th century local seals varied in detail. The tinctures were fixed in 1952 and the pattern since then is based upon the sacred image within the local church.
