Shield Azure parted by three rainbows of Gules, Vert and Or ordered per pale, between the rainbows two graylings Argent, three 5-point stars Or on dexter and sinister chief point and on middle base point.
Meaning:
Seals from the 15th and 16th century with prints since 1423 displayed the same pattern without graylings (fish). The different colours on the rainbow are indicated by hachures. A fish on base first appears in Johann Jacob Fugger´s Ehrenspiegel, literally the mirror of honour, a roll of arms from 1555/1559. The existence of the current pattern is proven on seals since 1580. Before 1968 or earlier the stars had six points.
