Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
Upon the dexter side of a golden(=yellow) field is a black flaming sword. The whole is superimposed by a red bar, which is superponed by a silver(=white) lattice-work.
Meaning:
According to source the lattice work is the coat of arms of the Bornheim family and appeared first on the seal of Enig in 1319. The flaming sword, as an attribute of St.Michael, is related to the 1380 seal of Waldorf, which showed St.Michael completely (see also: Ewald: "Rheinische Siegel", vol. III, chart 10).
