Description of flag:
The ratio of flag is 3:5. It is a seven times divided (per fess) flag in white and red (German:"siebenmal geteilt von weiß und rot"). This means to me: It is an 8-stripes flag of alternating red and white stripes, starting with a white one. The coat of arms is superimposed (in the centre of flag).
Description of coat of arms:
In a silver (=white) shield is a red key with its beard in the dexter chief.

Description of flag:
The third at the hoist is white with a red key therein. The other two thirds are seven times (per fess) divided in white and red. According to source this means explictely the existence of eight stripes like in variant#1, but (surprisingly) starting with a red one. This variant seems to be the current one like described in the city's constitution (=Hauptsatzung).

Description of flag:
It is a horizontal 8-stripes flag with alternating red and white stripes, starting with a white one. In the white canton is a red key.
The height of canton is bigger than its width (German: "im hochrechteckigen Feld").
