Herdwangen-Schönach Coat of Arms

Coat of Arms:
Shield parted per bend sinister enhanced, above Sable a 6-point star Argent and a bendlet sinister Argent, beneath Argent, issuant from base a mount Vert, topped by a ruined castle Gules with two towers, in sinister chief a 6-point star Sable.
Meaning:
Herdwangen-Schönach was established by a merger of three former communes on 1 July 1974, published in GABl 487/1974. The stars are taken from the arms of Herdwangen, the ruined castle from those of Großchönach, and the bendlet from those of Obendorf.
