Wilhelmsdorf Municipal Coat of Arms

The black shield is divided by three and a half descending (= bendy), silver ( =white) steps. Above left is a golden (= yellow) coronet. Below right is a castle with two towers of the same colour.
Meaning:
On 1 January 1973 the municipalities of Esenhausen, Pfrungen, Wilhelmsdorf proper and Zußdorf megrged. The central element of the coat of arms of the new municipality is called the "staircase of Heiligenberg". On the arms of the former municipality of Pfrungen it had symbolized that Pfrungen was a possession of the Counts of Heiligenberg. The crown reminds on the fact that Wilhelmsdorf adopted its name to honour King Wilhelm I of Württemberg. The castle is taken from the arms of Esenhausen. The basement at the castle's bottom is alluding to the intermittent rule of the city of Ravensburg over Zußdorf.
