Germaringen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, the Eastern façade of a church Argent with roofs Or and an impending 6-point star Or between the towers with domes Or.
Meaning:
The church is the St. Wendelin Church of Obergermaringen, the landmark of the municipality. It was built in 1697, sponsored by pilgrims, and replaced a chapel, which existed in 1580. The towers were added in 1726. The star is taken from the arms of the city of Kaufbeuren, which had the local cognisance until 1803. The tinctures red and silver are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg.
