Shield Argent an eradicated linden Vert.
Meaning:
Schutterwald was mentioned in 1293 as a forest, in 1351 as a village. The arms are based on the oldest local court seals with prints from 1456 and 1492, the branches of the linden had been sagged until the 19th century. Stamps from the 19th century displayed the tree without roots.
