Shield Sable a natural rock issuant Argent, in chief a bend Or charged with three 6-point stars Sable.
Meaning:
The rock is referring to the important depletion and treatment of Jurassic limestone in the municipality. Sengenthal had been seat of a cement mill of Heidelberger Zement AG until 1986. Bend and stars are taken from the arms of the Reichertshof(er) kin, who had been in service of the Lords of Stein. Black and yellow are the tinctures of the Holy Roman Empire. Sengenthal and its forest had been parts of the imperial district (German: kaiserliche Hofmark) of the Staufen kin around Berngau in the 13th century.
