Shield Azure with bordure 16-fold parted of Gules and Argent, an inescutcheon in bend quartered of Argent and Azure, topped by a helmet Argent, crested by a hound Or tongued Gules with drop ears Gules.
Meaning:
The town used seals, proven by prints since 1420, which displayed the complete arms of the Zollern kin, i.e. a quartered shield crested by helmet and hound. The current arms were designed in 1963 with a distinguishing bordure from the lion arms of the Burgraves of Nürnberg, which is depicted on a window from 1370/80 of the local parish church.
