Shield Gules with base Vert, charged with a bar Argent, over all issuant from base a tower Argent, topped by a stork's nest.
Meaning:
The Margraves of Brandenburg built a castle in 1230 and a nearby city in 1257. It was walled in the 14th century and mentioned as a city in 1335. The tower is symbolising the two remaining city gates, the Berlin Gate and the Strausberg Gate.
