Description of coat of arms:
In a red field are two saltirish silver(=white) hooks with holds. In the silver(=white) chief are three blue roses ordered horizontally.
Meaning:
According to source some say roses and hooks had been taken from the arms of the local Roden family. The hooks can be seen on a tomb stone of 1395. Others say that the roses in fact are blossoms of flax and the hooks are shepherd hooks. Both attributes then would symbolize herding(hooks) and agriculture and linen industries(blossoms).
