Attenhofen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a crozier Argent and a sword flambant Argent in saltire, on central chief an umbel of hops Or, at dexter flanch a sickle Argent, at sinister flanch a wheel cross Argent.
Meaning:
The crozier is an attribute of St. Nicolas, patron saint of Attenhofen proper. The sword is an attribute of St. Michael, patron saint of Walkertshofen. The sickle is an attribute of St. Notburga, patron saint of a chapel in Oberwangenbach-Thonhausen. The cross is an attribute of St. George, patron saint of Pötzmes. All villages had been incorporated to Attenhofen either in 1972 or 1978. The umbel is alluding to the Hallertau, Germany's biggest production area of hops.

Banner and arms were approved on 25 August 1986 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Niederbayern. The municipality however doesn't use any banner..
