Shield Azure, a reversed, faceted 5-point star Argent.
Meaning:
Kronau was established in the medieval by forest clearance in the woods of the Lußhardt creek and belonged to the Bishopric of Speyer from the 13th century until 1803. The tinctures are those of the bishopric. The star is an old local symbol. It appeared on a shield on local seals with prints since 1746. The tinctures had been suggested in 1907 by the General State Archive. Since the 18th century the shield is topped by punning crown (German: Krone), referring to the name. Actually the name is serived from "grüne Aue" (= green meadow). Since the 19th century the authorities tried in vain to abolish the crown.
