Meaning:
Sölden formed a common lordship with Au in the frame of the Austrian Landgraviate of Breisgau. The local authority was divided between the Barons of Baden in Liel and the Lords of Bollschweil. The village was acquired by Baden in 1805. The pattern had been on all local seals since 1811 and also on boundary stones since 1899.
