Shield Gules, three scythe blades Argent ordered per pale.
Meaning:
The arms had been the family arms of the Lords of Strehla, who owned the castles of Beeskow, Storkow and Friedland. Friedland had been the seat of the namesake subcounty (Amt), which existed from 1992 until 2003. Its 16 municipalities merged the same year. All had a historic relationship to the lords.
