Shield Azure, an octagonal chapel Argent with roofs Gules, windows Sable and open port Sable with door wings Or, in port St. Mary dressed Azure holding baby child Jesus Christ nimbed Or.
Meaning:
The oldest main seal from 1321 already displayed Mary and child in a Gothic chapel., representing the Chapel of Grace in nearby Altötting. Later seals display the octagonal chapel. Minor seals between 1374 and 1633 omitted St. Mary. Paintings of the arms since 1523 replaced the chapel by a tent. The basic tincture had been red, was however replaced by blue in the 19th cebtury. There had been also an ephemeral coat of arms, displaying a royal crown in a lozengy shield, similar to the arms of Altötting County.
