Shield parted per pale of Argent and Sable an eagle in counterchanged tinctures, chief parted per fess of Or and Gules.
Meaning:
The eagle is taken from the historical arms of Aufkirchen. The eagle holds a canting spear (ger). The tinctures are those of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach, to whom most of the area historically belonged. The chief is taken from the arms of the Counts of Oettingen, who also had several possessions in the area.
