Shield parted per fess, above Gules a 6-spokes wheel Argent, beneath Or on top of a triplemount issuant Vert three maces Sable in fan.
Meaning:
The upper half displays the arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz, which ruled the town until 1670 and then gave it to the Counts of Schönborn as a fiefdom. The maces on a triplemount appeared first on a district seal of Schöllkrippen with an additional date "1667". The shield was crested and had additional initials "MW". It is supposed that it had been the arms of a commissionaire of the archbishopric. The tinctures of the current arms had been chosen arbitrarily.
