Split, on the right a red, upright lion in yellow, on the left divided five times diagonally to the
right by blue and white.
The lords of Eschenz had a red lion in their coat of arms, but research assumes that it was the Habsburg
lion. Nevertheless, the coat of arms of the Reichenau ministeriales shows a very high degree of
similarity. There were two variants in the heraldic books. The municipality of Diegten
in Baselland canton has the same coat of arms as Eschenz, but this is in yellow, black and white.
