Sable a Goose passant Argent langued beaked and membered Gules.
Željko Heimer, 5 January 2001
The bird on the flag of Sargans is a goose (in German Gans). This is an
example of wrong canting arms as the name of the town doesn't come from the goose, but from the fields
named Senegaunis (in Rheto-Romansh Sanagazza).
