The arms of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade are "Cantonned by a cross gules charged with five stars or, 1. Azure two fesses wavy argent three merlettes sable 1 and 2, 2. Vert three spikes or, 3. Argent a smoking factory sable, 4. A smoking fisher's hut vert clouds and sky azure in base fish and ice argent. The shield surmounted by a crown or inscribed 'S.A.' sable. The shield surrounded by two maple branches vert in saltire in base the motto 'UNIS DANS LA FOI' gules."

The cross gules symbolizes the deep faith of the pioneers and present-day's inhabitants of the village.
The stars or recall some of the noble people who let an indelible stamp in the parish: first clearers, churchmen, craftsmen, artists, singers, sculptors, musicians, writers, etc.

The first canton features the arms of the Lanaudière lineage, first lords of the parish. Thomas-Xavier Tarieu de Lanaudière (1664-1695),
French officer at the Carignan Regiment, was granted the domain of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade in 1672. His son, Pierre-Thomas de Lanaudière (1677-1757), married Madeleine de Verchères.

The second quarter glorifies the first colonists who sown wheat. The field vert recalls the land producing spikes or.

The third quarter represents all the historical buildings as well as all the ancient and modern industries that thrived on the territory. From their long list can be extracted the main ones: the birth house of His Grace Laflèche [1818-1898; bishop of Trois-Rivières, 1867-1898]; the more than centennial parish church; the match factory; the glove factory; the early presbytery; the Lanaudière manor... The field argent is a symbol of income. Sable represents the nobleness of manual work.

The fourth quarter, most typical of the region, represents the industry of "canals' little fish" (tom cods). The sky and water's azure as well as the cloud, ice and fish's argent symbolize the tourism resource supplied by fishing in winter season. [Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade is recognized as tom cod world's capital. During the Tom Cod's Festival, a village composed of 500 huts is established on frozen river Sainte-Anne.]

The crown and letters "S.A." are a symbol of devotion to St. Ann, the parish's patron saint.
The maple branches symbolize the warm patriotism of the region's inhabitants.
The French motto, "United in Faith", means Christian charity, and mutual aid that unite families.
