Berezinskiy Rayon and City of Berezino is joint administrative territorial entity. Berezinskiy Rayon was created in 1924 in then Borisovskiy Okrug, and in 1927 became part of Minskiy Okrug. In the period 1930-1938 Berezinskiy was independent rayon, i.e. it was not part of any Okrug or Oblast. In 1938 it became part of Mogilevskaya Oblast, but in 1944 it was transfer in Minskaya Oblast. The rayon was abolished in 1962, but was re-created in 1965. The coat of arms and flag was adopted on 22.11.2007. The flag of the city of Berezino and the Berezinsky district is a rectangular panel of white color with an aspect ratio of 1: 2, in the lower part of which on the front side there is a horizontal strip of green, comprising 1/3 of its width. In the center of the strip is a red fox emerging from the yellow crown, turned to the left, holding a yellow arrow in its paws, crossed by two crossbars, the coat of arms “Fox”. In the lower green field are three overturned white oak leaves with two acorns.
