Based on
http://www.santanadeparnaiba.sp.gov.br/hist_band/his_bandeira.htm, the
municipal flag of Santana de Parnaíba, was created by Prof. Arcinoe Antonio
Peixoto de Faria. It is a blue flag with a red off-centered cross, fimbriated
yellow, and a white disk bearing the arms: an Iberian shield and supported by
two men. The cross represents the faith, and the circle (disk) represents
eternity, indicating the faith of the townspeople in the eternity of their city,
the colors yellow and white represent the metals gold and silver, the red color,
represents audacity, value, generosity, fearlessness, magnanimity, honor and
conspicuous nobility, remembering the attributes of Parnaiban settlers legacies
and the virtues of administrators and townspeople. The original size of the flag
is of 14M (fourteen modules) of height for 20M (twenty modules) of length, the
arms of the cross are 1M (a module) wide. The median line of the vertical
vertical arms is 7M (seven modules) from the hoist, the disk is 8M (eight
modules) in diameter and the coat of arms is 6.5M (six modules and way) high.
