Title: Wip’ala: Bandera del Pusisuyu
(in English: Wiphala: The flag of the Inca Empire)
Medium: article in a non-vexillological source: obsolete entry
Main author(s): Kara Chukiwanka
Language: Castillian (a.k.a. Spanish)
Source number (date): (2002 (?))
Subject: Wiphala (Qulla Suyu)
Remarks: Available
on
line. First part of a series; second part is “Las
Wip’alas del Tawantinsuyu”.
This article may have been published on paper, but I found no
evidence of this (apart from the illustrations, apparently scanned
from a typescript).
It deals with the (supposed) proto-Inca Empire
flags, defending an Aymara origin and reporting their ancestry
to previous andean civilizations, but in my opinion its scholarly
level is low — while scarce, if any, referencing and evidence
is provided.
