The colors on the flag have been changed in the meantime and now it is
diagonally divided blue over green by a white descending diagonal. There is no
special vertical flag, but the horizontal one can be hung vertically.

The coat of arms of Breza is prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu Općine Breza, adopted on 28 December 2001 by the Municipal Assembly and published on 31 December 2001 in the Municipal official gazette Službeni glasnik Općine Breza, No. 9. Decision Odluka o upotrebi grba općine Breza, adopted on 30 April 2003 and published on 12 May 2003 in Službeni glasnik Općine Breza, No. 4, prescribes the rules of use of the coat of arms.
The coat of arms is described in Article 2 of the Decision as follows:
The coat of arms of the Municipality of Breza is in shield shape, outlined with a thin black line on a light blue background. In the centre of it is a stylized birch leaf, dark green (colour of Rudnik [the Mine]) outlined in black. In the right part of it is the top part of the column of the basilica with its capital. In the left side is a stylization of a part of a stećak [standing tombstone] lined white on a black backgound. The top left corner of the shield is semi-circularly trimmed, including the mining symbol of hammers in saltire.
The Populari database does not list any municipal symbol that would have been used prior to the 1990s or during the war period. The constitutionality of the current symbol was not disputed.
A commission was appointed to design the symbols by Rješenje o izmjeni Rješenja stručne komisije za izradu idejnog rješ:enja grba i zastave i određivanje Dana Breze, adopted on 8 July 1999 and published on 14 July 1999 in Službeni glasnik Općine Breza, No. 5. One member of the commission was replaced by Rješenja o imenovanju stručne Komisije za izradu idejnog rješ:enja grba i zastave Općine Breze, adopted on 13 July 2000 and published on 17 July 2000 in Službeni glasnik Općine Breza, No. 2.
