The flag of the Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepción, designed by Matías Delgado, Pablo Micheletti and Pr. María Alejandra Gaitán, is horizontally divided yellow-white-yellow (the photo of the flag confirms that the stripes are yellow and not
orange as shown on the graphic) with a red-blue fimbriation between the yellow and white stripes; in the middle, two wolves hold a caldron, all black, charged with the white monogram "IHS". The date "1610" is written in black under the caldron.
The wolves and the caldron, representing hospitality, are taken from the arms of the Loyola family, recalling the founder of the Society of Jesus. The monogram "IHS", "Iesus hominis salvator" (Jesus Savior of Mankind).
Year 1610 recalls the beginning of teaching in the college by the Jesuits Juan de Sigordia and Francisco del Valle. The foundation date of the institute recalls also that it is the oldest still active in Argentina.
The yellow and white colours recall the Pope's banner, highlighting the Catholic faith in the college and the allegiance of the Jesuits to the Holy See.
Blue, red and yellow are the colours of the college; these are the colors of the uniforms and of the coat of arms, and also of the Loyola family.
Blue, red and white are the colours of the flag of Santa Fe.
Blue and white are the national colors.
