The flag of the Municipality of San Pedro de Guasayan in the Departments of Guasayan and Santa Rosa is vertically banded blue-white-blue, but most of the blue stripe is covered by a depiction of the arms.

The flag was created by Professor Adrián Marcelo Sueldo, and the municipal coat of arms by his mother, Martina Ester Tapia.

The crossed keys, silver and golden, are the tokens of Saint Peter (in Spanish: San Pedro), so this flag and the related coat of arms, is canting for that part of the toponym, at least.

The flag background is based on that of the provincial flag of Santiago del Estero, although proportionately less oblong, this flag being ~2:3.
